Im writing to thank you for a fantastic Road Safety learning experience which you and the Derbyshire police organised for our school yesterday. It was a really memorable day which combined serious road safety messages with fantastic fun.
The children were delighted to see the 3 junior-sized petrol driven cars travel around the track you created on our school playground. All our pupils learned a great deal about road safety and were delighted to then either drive a car or travel as a passenger around the track, wearing seat belts and helmets, obeying the rules of the road.
You and your team worked flat out from 8.30amuntil 4pmto ensure that everything was ready for the children, that all the children had the opportunity to take part in this fantastic experience and that everything was packed away properly. Lunchtime was spent on PR activities with our pupils who benefited from this experience in so many ways.
I would just like you to know how much the staff and pupils at our school appreciate the fact that we were offered this opportunity for Road Safety Training and for enhancing links with the Police.
